The first 5 years we lived and worked on the property

The next 8 1/4 years I managed the property to the tenant (whilst living in Perth)

I have had my property Managed Thru PRD Real Estate - Debra Ferguson for the last 3 years plus there was a 4 months period that I liaised with Debra on a regular basis when securing new tenants

I found the whole process very EASY!, after being with other Real Estates during this process PRD s approach wasn't focused on THE MONEY!, they were happy to go over & above to find a tenant with out advising me every step along the way that this will cost you this & that.  As the team are locals & not blow inns to a very transient town they knew the market & could advise me every step of the way

Now we have tenants (& very good ones at that) I basically don't do anything other than balance my statement sent to me every month.  I have found that there are rules to having a commercial property that I was not aware of (& have worked in my favour as an owner),  Fees, charges & GST etc are collected every month, bills are paid & should any problems arise Debra is straight onto them.  She is very aware of cost & will do what she can to make sure both parties (Owner & tenants ) are happy with any decisions required. 

So I would very much recommend Debra & her team including the Owner Andrew Blackley who again has been more than happy to give me advice along the way should I ask

l've been a commercial property owner in Broome for over 15 years now. For the first 10 years I struggled with three different real estate companies who I engaged to manage my property for me. Being a very busy person in my own job and with a lifestyle which included much time away from Broome, I needed a team whom I could trust to, amongst other things:

- Make (correct)decisions on my behalf in my absence

- Have my financial, regulatory and statutory interests at the forefront of such decisions

- Give my commercial property and its management the same focus as all others under their control, regardless of size and/or ownership.

- Be pro-active in all matters of the property's management. Get on the front foot with tenant/s

requirements, future lease arrangements, strata details etc.

Unfortunately, none of those engaged lived up to either my expectations or their own mantras. I was stressed to hear about tenants complaints months after they were raised. Tired of my commercial manager not getting back to me after l'd left massages or called personally at the office. Upset at paying high management fees for poor service levels, or in some case no service at all.

Late in 2012 I shifted my property management to PRD Broome. A small team at the time, but nonetheless, one with a personal touch who were willing to treat my property like it was their own.

Always prepared to make the extra effort to ensure my tenants wants and needs were quickly communicated and dealt with.

On top of all that, their fee structure is extremely competitive. I won't quote figure but I will state the annual financial benefit to me is considerable.
