25 Years of Service for PRD Stalwart
PRD Coffs Harbour Principal Damien Campbell received high acclaim from his colleagues at PRD’s Annual Awards Gala Dinner at Sanctuary Cove on Saturday night.
One of the stalwarts of the PRD franchise network, Mr Campbell was celebrated by peers as he accepted an award for 25 years of distinguished service.
The acknowledgement topped off a stellar night for Mr Campbell, who earlier accepted a Silver Award on behalf of the PRD Coffs Harbour team for their performance in the last calendar year.
Mr Campbell said the lure of raising his family in Coffs Harbour was pivotal in getting involved with the then named PRD Realty back in 1989.
The Principal and owner of the business was Mr Graeme Spink, who is now PRD’s National Director of Franchise Services. Damien went on to buy the Coffs Harbour business from Graeme and put his own stamp on its operation.
“Graeme was, and still is, a great mentor, supporter and friend who helped me establish my career in real estate,” Damien said.
When quizzed who else had influenced him, Damien referred to Archie and Gordon Douglas that created the great culture that enabled PRD to become a force in the real estate industry. And, even after 25 years, Damien is having as much fun as he was when he started his illustrious career.
“These days I get great satisfaction from seeing the people that I bring into this industry develop into successful real estate professionals,” he said.
“I enjoy seeing them reap the rewards of their hard work and build a great lifestyle for themselves and their families.”
“Real Estate offers opportunities some people can only dream about.” Mr Campbell was among a number of PRD team members to collect awards for significant service milestones.
The husband and wife team of Tony and Gloria Dekker were recognised for 20 years of service with PRD Port Macquarie, while PRD Perth’s Angus Murray and PRD Gympie’s Helene Faint were also commended on two decades with the business.
Mrs Faint said while the real estate industry had grown and transformed over her 20 years, there were three essential ingredients to her longevity in the business. “I have seen a lot of changes throughout my years in real estate, but these three things never change – service, honesty and great staff,” she said.
Meanwhile, there were eight recipients of 15 year service awards, with Jo Collins (PRD Marsden), Rex Ellison (PRD Penrith), Christie Leet (PRD Whitsunday), Chris Leonard (PRD Ballarat), Wayne Poole (PRD Sanctuary Point), Joe Taylor (PRD Tweed Coast), Jason Behringer and Nadine Rooney (PRD Riverview) all acknowledged at the ceremony.
Julie Delves (PRD Port Stephens), Randall Fraser (PRD Toowoomba), Gaye Haintz (PRD Ballarat), Tina Keighrey (PRD Ballarat) and Jeff Mendoza (PRD Ipswich) collected awards for 10 years of service.
