Compare property managers
Aren’t all companies the same? Many landlords ask us this. It would be so much easier if they were but they are not. Some will promise the world and deliver very little. Others will have very poor knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act which determines what an agent can or cannot do. Some will have little or no training. Be aware that some agencies may, in their enthusiasm to win your business, over-inflate the possible rental return and will be back to you after a couple of weeks of vacancy saying they got it wrong. Also be wary of the agency who rushes to place a tenant in your property that may not suit. You will need to make your decision based on who has the greatest knowledge of the market. They must be able to show you how they have interpreted the market to deliver their rental price.
