The Ashburnia Dorset Stud was established in 1973. Over this period, a flock of high quality 200 stud ewes has been maintained through a very strict culling program, retaining only around 40% of ewe lambs bred. Heavy muscling, fast growth, clean points and correct structure have been the main focus along with the integration of Tattykeel rams.
Ashburnia sired prime lambs have regularly featured in the top prices for many loyal and professional farmer clients. Additionally, Ashburnia Stud has produced champions at Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide Royal Shows along with many champion ribbons throughout the Central Tablelands.
