Economic development strategy for 2021 - 2025 Review Finalized

Consultation has concluded for the prepared economic development strategy for 2021 - 2025

Last year, the Whitsunday Regional Council requested the residents to review a draft Economic Development Strategy to guide investment and growth in the Whitsunday Region over the next few years.

 The draft Strategy was conceived in talks with crucial enterprise and business groups across the region and comprised a series of measures for the Whitsunday Regional Council. 

There were diverse opinions, concerns, and recommendations put forward during the consultation period, and the feedback will be presented to the Council.

According to the Council, the feedback suggests general support for the Strategy. However, a range of suggestions was made for consideration. Once the Strategy is finalized and endorsed by Council, it will be published on our website.
