Qantas Airways Limited announced its new initiative for flight flexibility until January 2022 and a nationwide domestic mega sale, with more than one million seats on sale to 55 destinations as low as $99.
This updated Fly Flexible policy has started since Monday to all domestic flight bookings for Qantas and QantasLink and trans-Tasman services booked.
This policy will apply to all flights booked for the following dates: (https://www.qantas.com/sg/en/travel-info/travel-updates/coronavirus/fly-flexible.html)
* Qantas domestic Australian flight booked between 21 May 2020 and 30 April 2021, for travel between 12 June 2020 and 31 January 2022.
* Qantas trans-Tasman flight booked between 15 October 2020 and 30 April 2021, for travel between 16 October 2020 and 31 January 2022.
Since Monday, nationwide sales have been launched, offering economy fares from $99 one way and $399 one way in business class.
According to the Whitsunday times, Qantas Airways wanted to boost local tourism, especially when international borders are closed.
“To help manage the uncertainty, we’ve introduced the highest level of flexibility in the market so people can plan their next trip with confidence.
“By giving customers unlimited flight date changes for almost a year, we think it will encourage more people to book, helping to boost tourism, which is so vital to local economies and businesses around the country.”
