The pandemic has impacted the number of tourists backpackers right across the Airlie Beach-Cannonvale-Proserpine region.
Even with the Border closed, this doesn't prevent the Whitsunday property market from ever going into demand.
Due to their affordability, buyers are moving to regional areas due to house budgets getting more bang for a buck outside of the major cities.
PRD Whitsunday CEO Annette Neil highlighted a noticeable strong sales growth across the 4802 postcodes, from Airlie Beach, Cannonvale, Jubilee Pocket, and Proserpine localities.
According to second-quarter data provided by PRD Research, median price growth over the past year was at 7.6 percent for houses and 18.4 percent for units.
The latest report provided in REA Market Trends shows the current median house price in Airlie Beach for September is now $850,000, a 29.8 percent increase over 12 months
