Some Aussie planning to move on Suburban / Regional Area

Australia’s view on working from home has been staggering.

According to the Whitsunday Times, The majority of Aussies are reassessing their circumstances and priorities.
The change in flexibility on working arrangements has made Australians want to move to an outer suburban or regional area like the Whitsundays.

Based on the study gathered by the Whitsunday Times, Swinburne University for the Fair Work Commission’s review stated that only 5% working from home wants to return to the office full-time.
This study can have a huge ripple effect on property prices across the country.

It was concluded by Professor Scott Galloway from New York University that the money households saved on commuting to and from work would end up being spent on their homes.

With this, it is projected that there will be a strong demand for suburban and regional property, especially in the Whitsundays,

Whitsunday Times stated that “According to housing price data provider CoreLogic, regional home prices have risen by 7.9 percent on average over the past 12 months, while the combined average of all our capital cities came in at just 1.7 percent.”

It is predicted that regional residential homes are one of the big winners during this pandemic.
Pre-COVID is still not coming back soon. There is still uncertainty on how permanent these changes will be. Only one thing is for sure, some Aussie property is heading to a boom, while some are leading to a decline.
