WHITSUNDAY E-NEWS REAL ESTATE: 2nd week of September
Hi, I'm Annette Neil from PRD Whitsunday, with this week's update.
I'm here today at this beautiful property in the highly sought after Galbraith park estate right on the edge of Cannonvale. Now, this estate has enormous blocks.
This large family home sits on over 2000 square metres.
You might be able to see behind me plenty of gardens and space for sheds, pools, all those exciting things.
Keep an eye out for this one when it does come to market soon.
If you’re selling a home or renting a house from January 1st 2022,the new updated legislation for Queensland with smoke alarm compliance comes into play.
It's been in the works for five years now, and on January 1st 2022, you must have interconnected hard-wired alarms in your property
Every room that is a bedroom must have an alarm and also in the hallways outside you also must have these alarms too.
If you have a split level house, they must also be; even if people aren't dwelling in, there must also have an alarm on that level near the exit.
This has come about to improve safety for everyone in Queensland.
We have a company that we worked called Property Compliance Australia, PCA.
Now we've been working hard with all of our landlords to get their properties compliant. However, probably the thing to think about if you are selling, is perhaps you've owner occupied for many years and your property may not be compliant.
You will need to get this done should you wish to bring your property to the market after January 1st
We can help you with that and can step you through the process and requirements.
We can put you in touch with the right people, and we can help you with that if you are listing your property.
Remember that January 1st, 2022 is when the new compliance comes in.
Give our team a call, and we'll be able to help you out to get your property compliant.
