WHITSUNDAY E-NEWS REAL ESTATE: 4th week of October

Hi, Annette Neil from PRD Whitsunday

Today I am down at the little hidden gem of the Cannonvale foreshore.
It is a little miniature botanical garden linking Cannonnvale and the boardwalk to Airlie beach. It’s absolutely beautiful here and a great spot to bring the family.
You can go for a walk with your dog or maybe scoot through on a scooter.
Just make sure you come and check it out if you haven't already.

This week, I was thrilled to speak to Craig Turner from the Whitsunday regional council.
Craig is in charge of aviation and tourism, which that means he's in control of the Whitsunday coast airport.
Our airport has amazing links through to Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. It also has direct flights to Cairns and Rockhampton.

We've got exciting news once the borders do open later this year. We're going to see the number of weekly flights into our airport go to a record 71 flights per week that are huge. It is 135 more than we've previously had into the airport, taking the predicted seats for next financial year from 590 000 up to a whopping 900 000 seats.
It is nearly a million seats coming in. That is excellent news for our region and the tourism sector that has done it pretty tough over the last year.
Hopefully, we can make some inroads into some other regions around Australia to have direct links to other cities, potentially Adelaide Newcastle, with the help of Craig turner. Fingers crossed, we'll see that happen, and you'll be able to reach the Whitsundays a lot easier.
Excellent news. We're looking forward to all the tourists returning from our southern states, and we'll see you soon.
